Founder.
Photographer, writer, scientist, surfer, sailor, educator, artist and dive instructor.
Born, in Toronto Canada, a career at sea seemed pretty far fetched. However, my passion for the ocean came at a very early age (see my kindergarten career day outfit below). On holidays to visit family in South Africa, I was lucky enough to surf and see marine mammals in the wild from very early on. These experiences ignited my passion to work alongside and in the ocean.
From here, I went to the University of British Columbia where I majored and wrote an honours thesis in Marine Biology. During my summers and throughout my degree, I worked in the Caribbean and Tofino, Canada. In these roles as a sailing, diving, and marine biology instructor and outdoor educator, I had the opportunity to engage and work with youth in the outdoors and fine-tune my leadership and risk mitigation skills.
I started freelancing as a way to continue to travel and learn and have not looked back since. I would love to chat about my experience and if you have any questions on how I made this possible I am more than happy to answer them.
